The winner is Helen who said:

Thanks!
Helen"

Helen, send me an email (there is a link at the top right of my blog) with your address and last name. And I will order Treasure Hunt for you!

Thanks everyone for playing and for visiting me. I feel so special out here in cyberspace.

Today and tomorrow I plan on playing a bit. I already have next month's stamps to play with (and I'll say that I love them!) but I also got a new Changito stamp from my Secret Sister that I haven't played with yet either. So I'll try to make a mixture of stuff so I'll have some I can share here on my blog for now.

Have a great Sunday!

Blog Candy!

I am still amazed at all the people who choose to visit little old me. I can't believe I hit 20,000 visitors! That is amazing! I love it when people come and visit. I love it even more when they leave comments! LOL.

In honor of hitting the 20,000 mark I've decided it's time to give away blog candy again.

Hmm...next question is what should I give away????

How about a stamp set of YOUR choice from Clear Dollar Stamps valued at $10 or less. (And yes, there are a fair amount there for that price.) In order to get the stamp set you must first go visit the site and look around and make your decision on which set it is that you'd want. Then come back to this post and leave a comment with your choice. Do some window shopping before making your choice. Because if you win, this WILL be the set you get! I will be selecting the winner on the 31st. So come back and see if you've won (or at the very least make sure I have a way to contact you!)

Good luck!

And the WINNER is....

Sparkle!

Here's her comment:

"I think you got a Cuttlebug, a couple of folders for it, some paper, and some ribbon.

Hope you have a good weekend.

Sparkle"

So...what did I get for my $90?

I got -
2 large items
(cuttlebug and crop-o-dile),
2 medium items
(2 packages of dies for the cuttlebug)
2 small items
(mini brads and ribbon).

See? Here's my bounty!

Sparkle - use the link at the top right to email me your address. Also let me know if there are any types of images in particular that you want stamped for you. Otherwise it'll be my choice!

Thanks for playing along everyone!

A Little Blog Candy

I've been feeling very bummed this week. Haven't even made any cards to speak of. So, to make myself feel better I decided retail therapy was in order. I have a savings account that is inheritance money from my folks. In general I try not to use it unless absolutely necessary. But yesterday I thought, "You know what, my Mom would want me to splurge once in awhile". (When she was alive she used to send me a $20 every once in awhile and tell me to go out and buy something for ME and not to spend it on the family expenses.) So I pulled $100 out of savings and headed to Joann's AND Michael's.

I bought a total of 2 larger ticket items, 2 medium size items, and 2 small items. YOU have to guess what I bought! If I've already told you then you can't guess (Concetta!) Also, as a hint, I came home with $10 - so everything I bought was $90. But everything I bought was on sale for at least 40% off (some was 50%). So those are your hints.

The person who gets the most # of guesses right will win an envelope of stamped images and a card made by me!

Houston...we have a WINNER!

Oh wait...we have TWO winners!

Would Laurlynn and Cammy404 please email me with your addresses. (There's a clickable link to email me on the right side of the blog.)

Thanks to everyone who played along. I love these cards and I'm sure I'll get a chance to use many of your sayings! You were all very creative.

I did have a couple questions asked that I wanted to answer.

#1 was what color cardstock did I use. Honestly, I don't know. It was some cardstock from Close To My Heart. But that's as close as I can get to telling you the actual color of cardstock.

#2 was if there is a pattern for this card. There is a pattern on Splitcoaststampers. I believe there is a clickable link from the cards themselves somewhere. I'd provide it again here but SCS appears to be down this morning. It was in the forums area, under Challenges, and then under VSN or Virtual Stamp Night. Email me if you can't find it and want it.

Well,I best be off to work!

WHOOOOO HOOOOOOO!!! 10K!

I'm SO excited! You guys make me feel so special by stopping by and visiting my little "closet" of the world wide web!

The challenge for the blog candy is for you to look at the Bra and Panty cards and then leave a comment with a saying that I could use inside the card. A little off color humor is encouraged. I enjoy playing on the words. I'm going to leave this contest running till my birthday (Feb 10th). Then I will choose my favorite sayings (one for each card) and the winners will receive some nummy goodies! So far it will be a full jar of prima flowers (mix or red/yellow) and a small clear stamp set. I may add more stuff as I look through my goodies.

But for now, I'll post my cards...feel free to leave as many sayings as you want for each card...there is no limit...and you have till the 10th to come up with ideas!

Click on "Newer Posts" to see the bra and panty cards!

Come on blog candy...

Let's see which one we reach first...

1) Blog candy (given away when my counter reaches 10,000 visits

or

2) My birthday (Sunday)

My guess is that we'll hit the blog candy within another day so we'll probably hit it first.

Did any of you watch the Miss America pageant this past week? I kind of know someone who reached the final 8. My Dad was a Ranger in WWII. One of the ladies up there was the granddaughter of one of my Dad's Ranger buddies. It was Miss Wisconsin...the one that played the violin for the talent contest. I was impressed.

Guess what I saw on TV the other night that I haven't seen in forever? The Beverly Hill Billies. I love that show. So, as they'd say, "Ya'll come back and visit now. Ya hear?" ;-) I want to give away my blog candy!

The Winner Is...

Christine! Please click on the email link at the right of my blog and send me your mailing address so I can get your 'candy' out.

Here's Christine's recipe:

I love to bake this time of year. Here is one of my favortie candy treats that is so simple but will wow em for sure.

Peppermint Bark

2 lbs white chocolate (preferably Guittard brand white chocolate chips- they seem to melt smoother)
12 candy canes, crushed into 1/4 inch pieces
1 teaspoon peppermint extract (1/2 tsp. if using oil)
1 bag dark chocolate chips

Melt white chocolate either in a double boiler or in a bowl over a pot of boiling water.
Stir in crushed candy cane and peppermint flavoring into melted white chocolate.
Line a 11x17" baking pan with wax paper.
Pour and spread chocolate mixture onto wax paper.
Chill until firm and break into pieces.

Melt the dark chocolate. Lay out the broken up pieces of candy on some wax paper and drizzle with melted dark chocolate.

Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Have a great day all....I'm off to work!

So...hurry to your cookbooks and then hurry back here! You have till Monday morning at 6:00a.m. Arizona time.

We have a WINNER!

I had a hard time deciding exactly where to draw the line...the albums store $1 clear acrylic stamps from Michaels...but I guess technically they ARE unmounted stamps. So I included everyone that had said either acrylic stamps or unmounted stamps in the drawing.
Then had my son draw a name and the winner is.....
....
...
..
.
MICHAELA!

Congrats Michaela - if you'll send me your snail mail address to my email (janeenaj72312836 at aol dot com) then I'll get your surprise package out in the mail!

That's all for now. My interview yesterday went really well and have another today with a different place. Also got the "pee-waddling" scared out of me last night by some javelina's (at least what I think was javelinas). Will have to share more about that later. But for now I need to go get ready! Have a great day.

My First Blog Candy!

Hmm...should I share creative stuff first...or room organization first...or blog candy first? I think I will share the fun stuff first and save the organizational pictures for another day.

I thought I'd make my first blog candy a little interesting. See the picture below? Tell me what you think the little albums have inside them. Anyone who guesses correctly will be put into a random drawing for some blog candy! The blog candy will include surprise package (of goodies I found while cleaning my room) valued at at least $20.

So, leave me a comment and tell me what you think is inside the albums!
